Lucknow, 26 March: After about three months, the number of fresh cases of coronavirus infection has crossed the thousand marks in a day. The challenge for the health department has increased as the graph of the infection before Holi suddenly goes up. Due to increase in new cases, now the rate of recovery has also been recorded.
So far, 1,032 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported across the state in the last twenty four hours. Due to this the number of active cases has increased to 5,824. So far 8,779 people have died from the infection. The recovery rate of corona in the state is running at 97.6 percent, which was 98.25 percent till a few days ago.
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Friday that a total of 1, 44,839 samples were examined in the state on a single day yesterday. Out of these, more than 71,500 corona tests were conducted with RTPCR.
At the same time, a total of 3, 42, 60,584 samples have been investigated in the state so far. Out of total active cases of corona in the state, 3,388 people are admitted in home isolation and 134 patients in private hospitals. The remaining patients are undergoing treatment in government hospitals.
He informed that so far 5, 96,698 people have been recovered from Covid-19 in the state. Surveillance work has also been accelerated as the state progresses. A population of 15,32,79,450 of 3,15,79,824 households has been surveyed through 5,14,343 team days in 1,87,516 areas through surveillance teams in the state.
Vaccine dose has been given to 54.01 lakh people
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health informed that the work of corona vaccination is underway across the state. Vaccination of all people above the age of 45 will be started from April 01 next month. So far, the first dose of vaccine has been given to 43, 92,802 persons. At the same time, 10, 09,111 people have also applied other doses. In this way, vaccine doses have been given to 54, 01,913 people.
He said that some health centers have been upgraded as health and wellness centers, some of which will start the corona vaccination work from the month of April.
Covid-19 infection after vaccination is not very fatal

However, it is important that such people will not have a serious infection. That is why people do not get into any kind of confusion and must get vaccinated. The second wave of corona infection is very evident in the country. More than 59,000 cases were reported in one day only yesterday.
โMeanwhile, infection from the virus has spiked in the Uttar Pradesh as well. Therefore, get the vaccination done. According to the new advisory of the Central Government, the effect of applying the second dose between six to eight weeks has been observed. So now the second dose will be given after six weeks. If people want, after four weeks, it can be applied at will,โ he concluded.
