Lucknow, 11 April: Around 15,353 new cases of coronavirus infection have been surfaced in the last 24 hours across Uttar Pradesh.
Currently, there are 71,241 active cases of Corona in the state. Meanwhile, a four-day ‘Teeka Utsav’ (Vaccination Festival) has been kicked off all over the state from Sunday to protect against Covid-19.
State’s Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad told here today that a total of 2, 03,780 samples were examined in the state within a day. A total of 3, 67, 61,069 samples have been investigated so far in the state.
He informed that so far 6, 11,622 people have recovered and discharged from Covid-19 in the state. Covid vaccination is being done for people above 45 years of age in the state. So far 72, 72,734 people have been given the first dose of vaccine whereas 12, 42,562 people have received the second dose of vaccine. Thus, a total of 85, 15,296 people have been given vaccine doses.
Prasad further said that special precautions need to be taken at this time. The infection has not yet ended, so be sure to follow the covid protocol even after vaccination. Schools, colleges up to 12th closed till 30th April
In view of the spiking of the global pandemic coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has closed all the schools and colleges from class 1st to 12th till April 30. However, the schools in which the examinations are being conducted have not been closed.
Tika Utsav started today
On the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, โTika Utsavโ has started in Uttar Pradesh from April 11 to April 14. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to conduct it as a special campaign. During the vaccination festival, Chief Minister Yogi will consult leaders of various political parties of the state, mayors and councilors of municipal corporations and religious leaders in the presence of Governor Anandiben Patel for vaccination and protection against corona in the state.
