Lucknow, 26 April: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said in a meeting with team-11 regarding Covid-19 management that there is an adequate availability of Covid-19 vaccines in the state.
On this occasion, he directed to complete the preparations for the upcoming immunization drive starting from May 01.
Yogi said that till now 97, 83,416 people have been given the first dose of Covid vaccine, while more than 20 lakh people have been given both doses. In this way, 1, 17, 83,880 doses of vaccine have been administered.
He said that we have to be ready for every kind of challenge. Health Department and Medical Education Department should prepare and implement an action plan for bed growth. Add at least two more CHCs to all districts in this task. At the same time, other new medical colleges were instructed to be prepared as dedicated Covid hospitals. Said to ensure availability of oxygen, ventilators, trained human resources in these hospitals.
The Chief Minister said that the rates have been fixed at the government level for the treatment of Covid patients in private hospitals and for Covid test. Divisional Commissioners or District Magistrates should ensure that there is no overbilling anywhere. The government has decided to have a discharge policy for Covid patients, to make it equally effective in all districts.
He said that if the rapid antigen test (RAT) of a person is positive so there is no need for the RTPCR test to be admitted to the hospital. This system should be effectively implemented in all the districts.
Yogi said that the Department of Health and Medical Education should ensure that all government and private hospitals with a capacity of more than 100 beds have their own oxygen plant. This work is going on as a campaign in the state. Encourage the private sector as well, the government will provide all necessary support. The process of setting up oxygen plant should be expedited; it should be reviewed every day. Government of India is also getting support in this work. Instant proposal should be sent to the Government of India in plant establishment.
Yogi said that all such hospitals in the state where corona infected patients are being treated; make the details of vacant beds in the hospital twice every day public. These details should also be uploaded on the portal of Integrated Control and Command Centre (ICCC) of the district. Allotment of beds should be done with complete transparency.
