Lucknow, 06 May: The number of migrants returning to the capital Lucknow from other states of the country has been steadily decreasing since May 01. Now the number of labours and workers coming from other states to Lucknow has reduced to less than 15000 per day. Before this, the number of workers coming to Lucknow from other states was more than 25 thousand.

The extended Covid lockdowns in other states including Uttar Pradesh has the effect that the number of labour migrations is gradually falling.

Apart from this, the ban on tourist buses coming to Lucknow from other states is also a big reason for the decrease in the number of workers. The number of workers coming to Lucknow has been steadily decreasing since May 01. The number of Lucknow-based workers has now reduced to more than 15000 per day.

However, before this, the number of migrants coming to Lucknow from elsewhere was over 25 thousand. However, the process of workers coming to Lucknow from trains continues.

On May 1, about 17 thousand 787 workers, on May 02, 14 thousand 86 workers and on 03 May 14 thousand 53 workers came to Lucknow.

Earlier, on the last April 20, about 25 thousand 153 workers, on April 25, 24 thousand 207 workers and on April 30, 22 thousand 250 workers came to Lucknow.

Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) regional manager Pallava Bose said on Thursday that tourist buses coming to Lucknow from other states have been banned. Therefore, the number of workers has decreased. Earlier, between five and seven thousand workers used to come to Lucknow daily by tourist buses.
