Lucknow, 06 May: So far, 1864 new cases of Covid-19 have come up in Lucknow in the last 24 hours whereas 3755 people defeated coronavirus and went to their respective homes.
Similarly, 796 new cases have been reported in Varanasi, while 1065 people have been discharged from various hospitals. In Kanpur, 782 new cases of corona were reported while 1557 people were discharged.
Similarly, 517 new cases have been reported in Prayagraj while 1047 people have defeated Corona.
Meanwhile, these are those cities where the coronavirus infection was fast spreading a week ago, but the finest corona management of the Yogi government has slowed down the spread of the virus.
Additional Chief Secretary, Information Navneet Sehgal said on Thursday that 26780 new cases have been reported across the state in the last 24 hours, whereas over 28000 people have been completely healthy after beating Corona. Over 2.25 lakh sample tests have been done in 24 hours, out of which 1.12 lakh tests were done through RTPCR.
He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to the officers to make the testing, tracking and treatment more effective in the state. In addition, strengthening of contact tracing has been asked to break the chain of infection.
Sehgal added that the maximum number of cases of corona infection was reported in the state on 30th April. After effective implementation of the policies on the instructions of the CM, in a matter of six days, active corona cases have fallen by a record 50 thousand.
βIn Lucknow, more than 5000 cases were coming up till last one week ago. In just 6 days, the efforts of the government have succeeded in curbing the corona,β he said.
Cases in UP reduced in comparison of Maharashtra and Delhi
The government claimed that the population of Maharashtra and Delhi is much less than UP, but even then, the cases of corona infection in these states are not being reduced while the Yogi government has succeeded in overcoming the second wave of Corona even when the population of Uttar Pradesh is much higher than these states.
