Lucknow, 27 May: The government of Uttar Pradesh has on Thursday banned any kind of strike in government services for six months.
An order has been issued by the government under the Maintenance of Essential Services Act – 1966, prohibiting the strike for six months in government services by exercising powers.
Additional Chief Secretary, Appointment and Personnel, Mukul Singhal said that by any employees engaged in any service under a public service, a corporation owned or controlled by the state government and under a local authority, related to the activities of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The strike has been banned for six months.
