SRINAGAR, 20 June: All the regional parties of Jammu and Kashmir will participate in the all-party meeting with the Central Government on June 24 but PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti will not attend.
National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah will attend the meeting. 14 leaders of the state have been called in this meeting.
PDP spokesperson Suhail Bukhari told reporters on Sunday that the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) met today before the all-party meeting in Delhi. In this it was decided by all the members that Mehbooba Mufti would take the final decision in this regard.
He said that a meeting of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration would be held in two days. This matter will be discussed there also.
The leaders who have been called to the meeting by the Centre include NC President and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, NC Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, People’s Conference leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig, Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tarachand.
Similarly, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, BJP State President Ravindra Raina, State Congress Chief GA Mir, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Chairman Syed Altaf Bukhari, People’s Conference Chairman Sajjad Gani Lone, Panthers Party Patron and Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh, CPI(M) leader and PAGD convener Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other Central leaders will attend the meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 24.
