New Delhi, August 08: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the next instalment of financial benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme through video conferencing on Monday.
During the program, the Prime Minister will interact with the farmer beneficiaries and will also address the nation. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will also be present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted on Sunday, “Our government is working relentlessly to make the lives of the hardworking farmers of the country more and easier. In this episode, I will have the privilege of releasing the next installment of ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ tomorrow at 12.30 pm.”
In another tweet, he said, “During this period, Rs 19,500 crore will be transferred to the accounts of more than 9.75 crore farmers across the country. I will also get an opportunity to interact with some of the beneficiaries of PM-KISAN. The way this scheme has brought a positive change in the lives of our farmer brothers and sisters, it is a matter of great joy.
It is worth mentioning that under PM-Kisan scheme, financial benefit of Rs.6000 per year is provided to eligible beneficiary farmer families and this financial benefit is provided in 3 instalments of Rs.2000 every 4 months.
However, the funds are directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Under this scheme, till now more than Rs 1.38 lakh crore amounts have been transferred to the bank accounts of farmer families.
