Lucknow, August 09: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg in Ayodhya will be known as 227B National Highway (NH). The Parikrama Marg will become historic and it will be made useful from the point of view of tourism, employment and trade.
The Deputy Chief Minister held a high level meeting at the headquarter (HQ) of the PWD to bring the 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg on the ground in a new form.
In the meeting, suggestions were sought from the MPs, MLAs and District Magistrates (DMs) of Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Gonda, Barabanki and Basti.
On this occasion, a presentation of 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg was also displayed by the department.
Maurya said that the tableau of major religious, cultural, mythological and tourist places falling on the Parikrama Marg would be shown. The mythological and religious places falling around the route will be connected by the link route. In all the five districts falling in 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg, one nodal officer will be made from the district level. Halts will also be made at different places for the convenience of the devotees on the route.
Regarding the Parikrama Marg, he said that the Ramayana era trees would be planted along this route to be developed as a National Highway (NH). Beautiful and beautiful depictions of the stories depicting the Ramayana period and the tableaux of the sages, sages and the events of that time will be made.
He said that the survey should be conducted by the end of this month with state-of-the-art technology through drones. Whatever consultants and officers go, and then the public representatives of the concerned area must be called there.
โThe construction of this road is to be done on top priority basis. The process of land acquisition and distribution of compensation etc. should be ensured at a fast pace. Preparations should be made to lay its foundation stone in the month of October,โ he added.
He said that work should be ensured by making an effective and concrete strategy for utility shifting. 112 gram sabhas of five districts will come on this parikrama route. 84 Kosi Parikrama starts from Makhauda village of Basti district. Here also, convenient development will be done for the arrangement of accommodation etc.
Cabinet Minister Ramapati Shastri, Minister of State Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay, Ayodhya MP Lallu Singh, Basti MP Harish Dwivedi, MLA Prateek Bhushan Singh, Principal Secretary of Public Works Department Nitin Ramesh Gokarn along with departmental officers and DMs of various districts were present in the meeting.
