Lucknow, September 03: While making a big announcement on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the roads of Uttar Pradesh will be made pothole-free and for this a pothole-free campaign will be launched from September 15 to November 15.
The Deputy Chief Minister while giving instructions to the officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) said that no road in the state should be left behind in the special campaign that will last for a period of two months. All roads from national level to state level and from urban areas to rural areas should be pothole free.
Keshav Prasad Maurya stressed that the entry gates of 105 routes connecting the inter-state border should be constructed and slogans like ‘Welcome to Uttar Pradesh, thank you for coming to Uttar Pradesh’ must be written on it. The reception door should be attractive and good.
He said that wherever there is a place associated with important people and great men in the state, a plan should also be prepared for naming the roads, bridges and minor bridges. Prepare this plan and show it to them soon.
While directing it, he said that during the tenure of the present government, the notable and outstanding works and projects done at the departmental level should be presented by making a film. The ongoing projects in the state, the projects to be operated in future should also be given a place in the film.
On the very special routes of the state, he said that Dr APJ Kalam Gaurav Path, Jai Hind Veer Path, Major Dhyanchand Vijay Path, if any remains to be built, should be completed with a paved shoulder width of five meters. There, beautiful and attractive boards and gates should be made. Nodal officer should be made to fix its accountability.
