Director and Add. Director level officers to check primary schools under ‘Ops Kayakalp’

Lucknow, 05 September: In order to check the quality of education in the primary schools of Uttar Pradesh, the director and additional director level officers will go to the districts and inspect the schools. The officers will look after the works done under ‘Operation Kayakalp’ in schools, distribution of textbooks, quality of education etc.

After this the officials will have to upload their report online on the link given by the department.

A spokesman of the state government said here on Sunday that on Monday, 37 officers of the Basic Education Department would inspect primary and upper primary schools in 37 districts, including Lucknow and Bareilly. Earlier on September 3 and 4, the officers had inspected 38 districts.

The spokesperson said that the Yogi government has done the work of changing the picture of primary education in the last four years. Along with rejuvenating the schools, the government is doing the work of providing text books to the students on time so that there is no hindrance in studies.

“In order to further improve the education system in primary schools, high level officials including Director, Additional Director have been engaged in the investigation of schools. In this regard, instructions have been issued by Director General School Education Anamika Singh”, he added.

The spokesperson said on behalf of the Director General, 75 officers and consultants have been deputed to check the quality of primary education in all the districts of the state. These officers will go to the allotted districts and check ten schools each.

Report to be submitted online

An official spokesman said that the officers engaged in the inspection of schools will have to fill their reports on the online link. The officers will have to give their report on other points including verification of the supply of free textbooks and workbooks, review of the progress of transportation and distribution, seating arrangement of students, education of students in school, school level events, interaction with parents etc.  

Apart from this, the review report of the work done during the rejuvenation in the schools will also have to be sent online. Along with the schools, the officials will also check the Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya and BRC.
