โ€œDuring foot patrolling, all the officers and police personnel should take care of the local people together. Exchange mobile numbers with the elite people of the area,โ€ directed DGP.

The DGP said that police station wise, hotspots of criminal incidents should be identified in each district. While mapping them, ensure effective patrolling, foot patrolling and checking. Adequate number of patrol vehicles should be deployed for patrolling on sensitive highways, besides police pickets should be installed at other sensitive places.

The DGP further ordered that installation of CCTV cameras should be made at important places. Every day roster wise duty of one officer should be imposed for night patrolling and checking in the city and rural areas of the districts. To be supervised by the Additional Superintendent of Police. From time to time, random checking of night patrol parties should be ensured by the police captain himself visiting.
