Lucknow, 12 September: As soon as the Congress party started the selection process for candidates for assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the first office-bearers have claimed the ticket. So far, the names of 55 assembly seats have come directly on the claims of the Congress office-bearers and the faces of the people’s representatives.
The application process, which started a week ago in the UP Congress, was kept confidential. State President Ajay Kumar Lallu and district heads of 75 districts started receiving applications and it was announced a week later.
After the two-day program of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra, the state president made this information public.
In the note issued from the state office, it was clarified that the leaders, workers, former public representatives and office-bearers who want to contest the election by taking ticket from Congress, it has been decided to apply at the state headquarters or district headquarters.
So far, among the leaders who have applied at the state headquarters, there are 40 faces who have contested elections. At the same time, there are a dozen new faces, who are seeking tickets from Congress for the first time. There are also some names in this, who have left other parties and have come to Congress.
At the same time, many leaders who tell the Congress’s customs policy in Uttar Pradesh have not yet made a claim and they believe that if their name is not considered after making their claim, a political crisis will arise for them.
At present, applications will be made at the headquarters and district headquarters of Uttar Pradesh Congress till September 26. In which any person can claim on any assembly and participate in the application process by giving his identity card.
