Corona vaccination crosses 9 crores in UP, 24 fresh cases

Lucknow, 16 September: So far, 50 percent of the people eligible for vaccination against Covid-19 have received the jab in Uttar Pradesh.

The total population above 18 years of age in UP is about 15 crores. Till the time of writing this news, 07 crore 50 lakh people have taken the first dose of the vaccine. According to the latest figures, more than 01 crore 54 lakh people have taken both the doses. Also, Uttar Pradesh has become the first state to have more than 9 crore vaccines.

Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal informed that the mantra of aggressive tracing, testing and prompt treatment for the prevention of Covid in the state is giving good results. How has the corona infection weakened in UP? This can be easily guessed from the testing done in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, only 24 new patients were found in 02 lakh 21 thousand 480 sample testing. In the same period, 11 patients were healthy and discharged.

He said that according to the latest situation, the total number of corona patients in the state has come down to 193. There is not a single active case of Covid-19 in 32 districts of the state.

β€œIn the last day’s Covid testing, not a single new case of infection was found in 61 districts. Not only this, number one in the country in testing and vaccination, in UP, more than 07 crore 57 lakh 61 thousand samples have been tested for Covid so far. He said that so far 16 lakh 86 thousand 549 people of the state have become healthy after getting free from corona infection,” he apprised.

While reviewing Covid-19 situation with Team-09 on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed satisfaction at the minimum rate of infection.

Yogi said that due to coordinated, planned efforts, life is rapidly returning to normal amidst effective control over the second wave of Corona. The situation in Uttar Pradesh is much better as compared to other states of the country. It is time to exercise caution and caution. A little carelessness can become a factor in increasing the infection. Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad told the CM that according to the latest status of Covid, Aligarh, Amroha, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Ballia, Balrampur, Banda, Basti, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Etah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jalaun, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Mahoba, Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Saharanpur, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar and Sultanpur do not have a single COVID patient left. Hence, today theses districts are free from covid infection. There is not a single patient of Covid left in these districts. On an average, more than 2.5 lakh tests are being done every day, while the positivity rate has come down to less than 0.01 and the recovery rate is 98.7 percent
