Prayagraj, 07 October: The Allahabad High Court has summoned the Secretary, Basic Education Council, taking seriously not to make the appointment despite getting more marks than the last selected candidate in Assistant Teacher Recruitment.
At the same time, he has been asked to clarify that how the petitioner with more marks than the selected candidate does not have the post, saying that how can he refuse to make an appointment.
This order has been given by Justice Saral Srivastava on the petition of VA Zehra. The petitioner is a graduate in Moallim-e-Urdu. He has got 55.285 quality point marks in assistant teacher recruitment. These marks are more than the last selected candidate.
On April 15, 2014, the petitioner was denied appointment on the basis of degree, and then petitioned the High Court.
The court directed the Basic Education Officer Amroha to make a fresh order. Thereafter, the petitioner’s application was dismissed saying that there is no post of Urdu teacher. The court termed the refusal to give appointment on the ground of non-availability as illegal and arbitrary and summoned the Secretary Basic Education Council and said that the petitioner has been running from here to there for the last seven years for the right to his appointment
