New Delhi, 14 October: India has given priority to neighbouring countries with regard to sending the corona vaccine abroad. So far, the vaccine has been sent to four countries Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Iran.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi gave this information in a weekly press conference on Thursday.
He referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). In this, there was talk of re-supplying the vaccine from India.
India had sent the vaccine to many countries of the world under Vaccine Maitri. Vaccine manufacturing companies had also received orders for supplies from abroad before the second wave in India. During the second wave of the Corona pandemic, India had banned vaccine exports. Recently India has resumed vaccine exports.
