Lucknow, October 24: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while giving instructions to the top officials, has directed the monitoring committees to be activated once again.
Adding further, Yogi said that the state government is working on alert mode to curb the increasing diseases due to the changing weather. The State Government is making all possible efforts at the grassroots level besides ensuring all necessary arrangements to check water borne diseases. In the first and second wave of Corona period, monitoring committees have played an important role in UP. These surveillance teams took the lead at the ground level by doing door to door screening during the Corona period.
The Chief Minister has directed to take special vigil in the districts affected by viral diseases including dengue, cholera, diarrhoea, malaria. Under this, teams of specialist doctors have been sent to Etah, Mainpuri and Kasganj. This team of experts, local doctors will keep a close watch on all the cases.
He pointed out that keeping in mind the festivals, special vigilance is being taken in the state. Door to door screening work will start by activating the monitoring committees. Monitoring committees will do door to door screening for corona infection as well as dengue, cholera, diarrhoea, malaria. This massive state-wide surveillance campaign will be carried out expeditiously.
Yogi added that along with this, patients of fever and other symptoms of infection will also be identified on priority basis in this campaign. In this surveillance programme, door-to-door visits will be conducted to identify people suffering from fever and having symptoms of Covid. It is to be known that there are more than 73 thousand monitoring committees in the state.
Special arrangements made in hospitals
CM Yogi has directed the officials and all concerned departments to take special care of medical facilities and cleanliness in view of the cases of dengue and water borne diseases. Special arrangements have been made in all the hospitals for the treatment of unwell people. The Chief Minister has also instructed to continuously monitor the health of every patient while improving the surveillance. Extensive sanitation, sanitization and fogging work will also continue for rescue in the state.
