Jakarta, 27 October: Sukmavati Sukarnoputri, daughter of former Indonesian first President Sukarno, has left Islam and converted to Hinduism, although she had already announced the conversion.
Sukarno accepted Hinduism at the Sudhi Vadani ceremony held at Sukmavati Sukarnoputri Center Bali. In the released video, she was seen following religious rituals.
After the conversion, Sukmavati has described it as the spread of Sanatan Dharma in Southeast Asia.
Sukmavati knows all the principles and traditions of Hinduism. There are many temples associated with Hinduism in Bali and people from all over the world come to see it.
One of the highlights of Sukmavati’s conversion is that her move has been supported by her brothers, Guntur Soekarnoputra and Guruh Soekarnoputra, and sister Megavati Soekarnoputri.
