New Delhi, 13th November: Schools will remain closed for the next one week in view of the uncontrollable pollution in Delhi. This announcement has been made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Not only this, the employees working in the government office of Delhi will also work from home for a week. Construction work will also be closed in the capital till November 14-17.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has issued a statement saying that advisory will also be issued for private institutions that more and more people should be given work from home there.
He said that schools have been closed in view of the pollution situation, so that the health of the children should not be affected badly.
On Saturday, the Chief Minister of Delhi also held a high level meeting on the issue of air pollution. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Environment Minister Gopal Rai, Health Minister Satyendar Jain and Delhi Chief Secretary.
It is noteworthy that the Supreme Court had also expressed displeasure towards the state government regarding stifling air pollution in Delhi. The court has advised to take strict steps like lockdown to reduce pollution.
