Relief: No Omicron active case in Uttar Pradesh: UP Govt

Lucknow, 29 December: In view of the rising coronavirus cases in different states of the country, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has rendered instructions for a thorough investigation of the medical arrangements of Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister has said that all the District Magistrates (DMs) and Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) themselves should do physical verification of the facilities and facilities available in every hospital of the district. Isolation beds, ICU beds, PICUs needed for children, paediatric specialists, ventilators etc. should be checked. If there is any deficiency, then the arrangements should be rectified immediately by rectifying the system.

In the high-level team-9 meeting on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed the latest situation in Corona.

The Chief Minister said that to prevent the spread of Covid infection, state-wide night corona curfew should be strictly implemented. The police force should patrol continuously.

The Chief Minister said that tracing and testing should be done for every person coming to the border of Uttar Pradesh from any state of the country or from abroad. Extra vigilance should be taken at bus stations, railway stations and airports.

The Chief Minister directed that the monitoring committees should be reactivated. Get every person coming from outside in the village-urban wards tested. Medical kits should be made available by quarantining people as per the requirement. Giving instructions to maintain adequate availability of medicines, he said that according to the need, medicines should be procured well in advance.

A spokesperson of the state government told that at present there is not a single active case of Omicron, a new variant of Corona in UP. So far, all the three Omicron patients found here have become Covid negative.

โ€œMeanwhile, in view of the danger, Corona curfew has been implemented in the entire state from 11 pm to 05 am in view of the alertness. Every common-and-special has been instructed to compulsorily apply mask when stepping out of the house. Traders are also being made aware not to give goods to people without masks in the markets,โ€ he apprised.

UP is number 01 in testing-vaccination

The spokesman said that Uttar Pradesh is at the top in the country in terms of testing and vaccination. At the time of writing the news, more than 19 crore 83 Covid vaccinations and more than 9 crore 25 lakh tests had been done. So far, more than 07 crore 15 lakh people in UP have been provided with the safety cover of Covid by giving both doses of the vaccine, while 12 crore 68 lakh people have received the first dose of vaccine. Looking at the pace of immunization, there is every possibility that by Thursday, Uttar Pradesh will become the first state to administer 200 million doses.

473 active cases, no patients in 25 districts

He said that in the testing of 02 lakh 548 samples done in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection was found in 48 districts. A total of 118 new cases were found, while 36 patients were discharged after recovering. At present, the number of active Covid cases in the state is 473. There is no corona patient in 25 districts. At present, the COVID recovery rate of UP is 98.6 percent, while the positivity rate is 1.86 percent.

CM alert to protect from corona, instructions given

There should be physical examination of the resources available in each hospital in every district. Verify the availability of isolation beds, ICU beds, and number of doctors, expertise, and paramedical staff.

Check the functionality of the ventilator. The number of Niku, Piku should be increased as per the requirement.

551 oxygen plants have become functional in the state. At least three personnel should be deployed for the operation of each oxygen plant.

Integrated COVID Command Center should be kept in active mode 24ร—7.

Adequate availability of essential medicines should be ensured. There should be no shortage of any life saving medicine. After reviewing in this regard, timely supply should be ensured.

Also, make traders aware with the message of “No mask, no goods” in the markets. No shopkeeper should give goods to the customer without a mask.

Police force must patrol continuously. Public address system should be made more effective.

It should be made mandatory to wear a mask in every situation to go out in the streets and markets.
