UP TET Exam: 21.56 lakh candidates to appear in UP TET exam

Prayagraj, January 22: The UP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam will be conducted in two shifts in all 75 districts of the state. According to Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, 21 lakh 65 thousand 179 candidates will appear in the said examination.

“Preparation has also been completed in Sangamnagari, where 84,017 candidates will appear in the first shift at 183 examination centers and in the second shift 59,895 candidates will appear in the examination at 132 examination centers,” added Chaturvedi.

The secretary has told that the preliminary level examination will be held in the first shift from 10 am to 12:30 am whereas the upper primary level examination will be held in the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

He informed that 12, 91,627 candidates will appear in the preliminary level examination and 8, 73,552 candidates will appear in the upper primary level examination.

According to DM Sanjay Khatri, 63 sector magistrates have been deployed for the examination. Instructions have been given to compulsorily set up covid helpdesks at all examination centers. Along with this, it has also been ordered to ensure adequate arrangement of masks, thermal scanners, oximeters, sanitizers. A videography team has also been deployed with the magistrate. Additional magistrates have also been deployed at sensitive examination centers.

According to the DM, Section-144 will be applicable up to 200 yards of the examination centers.

It is worth noting that on November 28, 2021, UP TET exam was cancelled due to paper leak. In order to conduct the examination in a mock-free, fair and transparent manner, the candidates will reach the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center after 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.

Along with the admit card, it will be mandatory for the candidates to bring the original copy of the photo identity card mentioned in their online application to the examination center. The candidate will have to bring the original certificate of training qualification or the original copy of the marks sheet issued for any semester.

Along with this, a certified copy of the mark sheet obtained from the Internet by the Principal or Competent Officer of the concerned training institution will have to be brought. If the candidates do not have a valid admit card, photo identity card in original and other certificates, then they will not get admission.
