Gautam Buddha Nagar, 27 January: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who reached Greater Noida on Thursday conducted door-to-door campaign in Tughalpur village of Dadri assembly and sought support and appealed people to vote in favour of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).

In the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, voting will be held in Gautam Buddha Nagar on February 10. Voting time is near. In such a situation, political parties have given their full strength to create an atmosphere in their favour.

However, tight security arrangements were made for the program of the Home Minister, but the crowd of workers and general public gathered to see him. In such a situation, the police had to make a lot of effort. People were showing enthusiasm.

Actually, due to Corona pandemic, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has banned large election rallies and roadshows at present. In such a situation, senior leaders of political parties also have to go door to door for election campaign. As per a predetermined program, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Greater Noida and sought door-to-door vote in Tughalpur village here as part of door-to-door campaign.

He also appealed to the people to vote in favour of the BJP. People were eager to get a glimpse of the Home Minister. Women and youth welcomed them by showering flowers from the balconies of the houses. Party workers and common people had gathered since 2 o’clock to welcome the Home Minister.

Meanwhile, the security personnel had to struggle a lot in handling the crowd. Perhaps this was the first time a Home Minister had gone door-to-door asking for votes. The people of those families where the Home Minister came to ask for votes were feeling proud. His happiness knew no bounds.

Along with the Home Minister, former minister and MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Surendra Nagar, Dadri MLA and candidate Tejpal Nagar etc. were present.
