Lucknow, February 03: Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra reviewed the Housing, Urban Development, Namami Gange, Tourism and Culture and Forest and Environment departments on Thursday.
He said that prompt action should be taken to implement the system of online approval of maps in all urban bodies. Preparations should be made to start it in the year of ‘Azadi ke Amrit Mahotsav’ itself.
The Chief Secretary said that the state should remain on top in all the schemes of housing and urban development, for this, planning should be done from now on.
He said that any new urban body that is formed, its planning should be done according to the standard of Smart City.
Mishra further said that work should be done towards making all cities smart cities by using global urban technology.
He states that the state has to be saturated with the schemes of the housing sector, in view of the above, urban planning should be done and for this new age urban planning technology should be used.
In reviewing the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, he said that all the pending projects have to be completed 100% and for this it has to be completed in this manner in each case by the scheduled date of March, 2023.
Appreciating the work of the Department of Tourism and Culture and Forest and Environment, he said that the basic facilities which have been developed for tourism development should be properly maintained.
He directed to give wide publicity to tourist places and available facilities globally by using all platforms of publicity and social media. To promote eco-tourism, the Chief Secretary asked the Forest Department to work in coordination with the Tourism Department.
He added that after studying successful models of innovation in other states, efforts should be made to implement them in their own state. Senior administrative officers of all concerned departments, other senior officers etc. were present in the meeting.
