New Delhi, 04 February: The Central government has decided to provide ‘Z’ category security to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi after the attack on him while campaigning in Meerut district.
According to sources, after reviewing the security of Owaisi, the government has decided to provide ‘Z’ category security to him by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) with immediate effect.
It is noteworthy that during the election campaign, some unidentified people opened fire on Owaisi’s convoy on Thursday at Hapur toll plaza in Meerut. Police has arrested two people in the case.
However, Owaisi says that he will raise the issue of his security in Parliament.
