New Delhi, 09 February: The uproar over the Hijab in Karnataka has sparked a debate across the country. Women MPs are also expressing their opinion on this issue.

BJP MP from Mathura Hema Malini said that schools are for education and religious matters should not be raised there like this. Every school has a uniform which should be respected. Individuals are free to wear whatever they want outside the school.

At the same time, Mandya MP Sumalata Ambareesh said that politics is being done to dissolve poison in the minds of young, innocent people. If that particular college or school has some guidelines from the beginning, why is this issue raised now? Who is playing with the future of the students?
