Kanpur, February 18: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. He said on Friday that in the Ahmedabad blast case, the court, while giving a historic verdict, sentenced the culprits to death. One of those convicted terrorists is from Sanjarpur in Azamgarh district and the father of that terrorist is related to the SP.
Yogi said in the election rally of Kanpur that this is the same Azamgarh which is popularly known as ‘Terrorist Factory’ for decades. These days, the father of one of the culprits of this blast is campaigning vigorously for the SP in the area.
Yogi Adityanath said that the BJP government also respected the faith and took full care of security. There used to be Saifai festival in the SP government regime, but in our government there are grand events like Chhath Maiya Puja, Rangotsav in Mathura Vrindavan, Dev Deepawali, Kumbh. When I came to Kanpur five years ago, there was dirt all around. After five years, after beautifying the ghats, Chhath Puja, a special festival of Purvanchal, is now celebrated with great pomp.
Targeting the SP, he added that even in Karhal, the public would forfeit the security of the SP. The BJP, in its tenure of five years, gave respect to everyone, security to everyone, but did not allow appeasement to anyone. We did what we said.
βIn the year 2017, we had said that Ramlala we will come and build the temple there. A grand Shri Ram temple is being built in Ayodhyaal. When Ramji will be seated in Ram temple in the year 2023, then the wishes of the ancestors of 500 years will be fulfilled. In the earlier governments, there was loot in the welfare schemes of the poor. There was a power cut. Now facilities like 24 hours electricity, free ration, and housing are being provided without any cuts,β said Yogi.
The Chief Minister further said that during the Corona period, Kanpur has got the maximum benefit of the government’s schemes. Metro operated here during the Corona period. Our government did the work of saving livelihood along with life. Today Mother Ganga’s grace is on Kanpur. Earlier 14 crore liters of sewer used to fall in Ganga ji, today our government has converted that sewer point into selfie point. The sewer no longer falls there. Be it green field expressway or defense corridor between Lucknow-Kanpur, our government has done it. The youth of Kanpur will get employment from this defense corridor.
BJP government of thumping majority will be formed again
Yogi said that two phases of elections have been completed in the state. Trends are showing that BJP government is retaining power. During the tenure of the SP, traders used to migrate from the state. Now the mafia is fleeing. This is the new UP of New India.
Attacking the SP, he said that when the SP government was formed, their first decision was to withdraw the cases of terrorists. When the BJP government was formed in 2017, we waived the loans of 86 lakh farmers. For the safety of daughters, it was decided to shut down illegal slaughter houses.
