Centre provides Y category security to poet Kumar Vishwas

New Delhi, February 19: The Central government has decided to provide Y category security to former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and well-known poet Kumar Vishwas. CRPF jawans under Y category will be posted under the protection of Vishwas.

Kumar Vishwas has in recent days accused Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of having links with Khalistan supporters. Since the allegations against the AAP convener, all the political parties are asking him questions. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has even written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating the need to investigate these allegations. The Union Home Ministry has also become alert about these allegations against Kejriwal.

At the same time, the Intelligence Bureau assessed Vishwas’s security. Sources reveal that the Intelligence Bureau in its report to the Union Home Ministry stressed on the need to provide security to Kumar Vishwas. Following this, the Union Home Ministry has decided to provide Y category security to Kavi Kumar Vishwas.

It is noteworthy that Kumar Vishwas said that Kejriwal had once said that he would either become the Chief Minister of an independent state or the first Prime Minister of an independent nation. Politics has heated up after his statement.

What is Y Category Security?

The country has several categories of security systems. Based on the report of the Intelligence Bureau, it is decided that whom to give which category of security. The security circle in the country is divided into four categories, with Z+ at the top. Then comes the Y and X category of security.

The Y-category security consists of seven personnel, while the Y-plus has 11 personnel, including a PSO and a SCART. The X category consists of three jawans.
