Lucknow, February 24: The Lucknow Divisional Administration of Northern Railway (NR) has started the facility of digital payment at 65 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) installed at its 28 stations. Passengers will now be able to pay the ticket fare through Paytm, Freecharge Dynamic UPI QR Code on ATVMs through cashless system.
Northern Railway’s Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Rekha Sharma said on Thursday that digital payment facility has been begun at 65 automatic ticket vending machines installed at 28 stations of Lucknow division. Passengers can use any UPI enabled app to make payments on ATVMs for train tickets, platform tickets, renewal of seasonal tickets and recharge smart cards.
She informed that the passengers can make payment by scanning the UPI QR code through any UPI QR code enabled banking app on mobile within 180 seconds as shown on the ATVM screen.
