New Delhi, March 17: India has reacted strongly to the invitation of the representative of the Hurriyat Conference, a separatist organization from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), to the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) to be held in Islamabad. This two-day meeting is proposed in Islamabad on March 22-23.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on Thursday that India takes this matter very seriously. It is an attempt to break the unity of India and violate its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He said that India expects that the OIC will not support terrorism and elements perpetrating anti-India actions.

He said that it is unfortunate that the OIC is working on the agenda of Pakistan instead of development related issues.

The spokesperson said the OIC should not allow its platform to be used for Pakistan-sponsored anti-India propaganda.

Regarding the allegations levelled by the Pakistan regarding the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the neighbouring country keeps saying blasphemous things against India in every matter. As far as the film is concerned, it is related to the events of a certain period.
