New Delhi, April 11: Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana has objected to the affidavits reaching the media before they are filed in the court.
During the hearing of a case, the Chief Justice told ASG KM Natraj, appearing for the central government, that the affidavit should be filed in the court before being circulated in the media.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice said that his PROs show reports about affidavits in the morning papers, which are not filed in many courts by that time.
He told KM Natraj that please does not circulate the affidavit. We only read affidavits in the media.
He said that today I got his affidavit in the court, but every morning my PRO has shown me the affidavit issued in the media. The ASG then assured the court that it would not be on behalf of the central government.
