Tight security arrangements in view of VP Naidu’s Varanasi visit

Varanasi, April 15: Vice President (VP) M. Venkaiah Naidu will visit Varanasi with his family on Friday evening.

In view of the Vice President’s two-day stay in the temple town, tight security arrangements have been made in and around Cantt and Banaras Railway Station, on his way to and from the Guest House Complex at Bareka.

For their security, 125 RPF personnel and more than 100 GRP security personnel have been deployed at Cantt railway station. 150 RPF personnel and 136 GRP security personnel are ready at their duty points at Banaras railway station. Banners, posters and hoardings have been put up at Banaras station and on the way to and from the city.

VP Naidu along with his wife Usha Naidu will come to Kashi by special train from Ayodhya. The special train of the Vice President will reach Cantt railway station from Ayodhya. After staying here for two to three minutes, the Banaras railway station will depart. The Vice President will be received by Governor Anandiben Patel and State Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak at Banaras station premises.

Deputy Chief Minister Pathak will be together for two days. From here he will join the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat after rest for some time at Bareka Guest House. Next day on Saturday, after observing prayer at Kalbhairav โ€‹โ€‹Temple and Kashi Vishwanath Temple, they will have lunch at Bareka and from here they will go to Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Sthal. After that they will leave for Delhi.
