LUCKNOW, 15 APRIL: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Excise and Prohibition Nitin Agarwal has said that a review meeting was held with the officials of the Excise Department, in which a detailed discussion was held on the sale and product cost of liquor. At present, the price of liquor will not increase in Uttar Pradesh.

Excise Minister Agarwal stated in an interview on Friday that instructions have been given to the District Excise Officers to take strictest action against over-rating shopkeepers in the district. After catching such a shop, the salesman as well as the shopkeeper should not be spared. Those who do not follow the excise policy, it is necessary to deal strictly with them.

He said that the game of illegally selling liquor would be ended with the aim of increasing the revenue. Absolutely strict is necessary against the people who make and sell liquor illegally.

He added, directions have been given to the District Excise Officers and other departmental officers to run the campaign continuously. The negligent faces will be marked in the Excise Department, so that departmental works will be speeded up. For this the key officers were directed. Action plan is ready to improve the present situation.
