Lucknow, April 27: Additional Director General (ADG) Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that in this ongoing action in the state, a total of 6,031 loudspeakers have been removed from all religious places till 01.30 pm on Friday, while the sound of 29,674 loudspeakers has been slowed down. Further action is underway. In this, full cooperation of religious leaders and people of all religions is being received.
Till Friday 01.30 pm, 30 in Agra zone, 1215 in Meerut zone, 1070 in Bareilly zone, 912 in Lucknow zone, 1056 in Kanpur zone, 02 in Gorakhpur zone, 01 in Prayagraj zone, 1366 in Varanasi zone, 190 in Lucknow commissionerate, 19 loudspeakers have been removed in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 170 in Varanasi Commissionerate.
Prashant Kumar said that the Lucknow Commissionerate Police is working to take down the loudspeaker on mutual consent after talking to people of both the religions. In this, religious leaders of all religions are fully cooperating with the administration. The work of getting loudspeakers down in temples, mosques and gurudwaras is being done by the police and administration.
Kumar further stated, three loudspeakers have also been brought down in the Devi Patan temple located in Balrampur district. According to the temple authority, following the instructions of the state government, three of the four speakers in the Devi Patan temple have been removed. Mahant has appealed to all religious leaders and people to cooperate in this step being taken by the state government in public interest.
Sadullanagar police station in-charge said that the additional loudspeaker was removed from Badi Masjid Alauddinpur. Along with this, two loudspeakers installed in Siddheshwarnath temple and Shiva temple of Alauddinpur have been removed.
After the order of the state government, the work of unloading additional loudspeakers installed at temples, mosques and religious places of all the districts of the state including Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Balrampur Basti, Prayagraj, Mathura, Kanpur, Noida, Kannauj is being done expeditiously. Is. People of all religions are getting full cooperation in this.
State Home Department’s Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Kumar Awasthi, while issuing the Government Order recently, had directed all the police stations to remove illegal and loud loudspeakers by running a special campaign. The action taken report has to be sent to the government by April 30, failing which action will be taken against the concerned station in-charge. After this, the police started the work of taking down the loudspeaker with the help of the district administration and all religions.
In a meeting in the past, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had appreciated the initiative taken by Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple to remove loudspeakers from the premises.
He had said that all people have complete freedom to follow the manner of worship according to religious ideology. Mic and sound system can be used for this, but it should be ensured that such sound does not go outside the religious premises and no one should be inconvenienced.
