Lucknow, April 29: The investigation report of school vehicles running in the capital Lucknow was ready on Friday. The report has examined 3,793 school buses and vans. In this, about 515 school vehicles have been found in an unfit condition.
On behalf of the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Lucknow, issuing notices to the owners of 515 school vehicles, a certificate of fitness has been sought by improving the condition of the vehicles in a week.
On the orders of the government, the probe report of school vehicles in Lucknow has been handed over to the Transport Commissioner on Friday.
RTO Enforcement Sandeep Pankaj said that 78 dilapidated school vehicles have been seized during the checking. In the meantime, challans to more than 300 vehicles have been slapped.
โApart from this, a list of the school vans flouting safety norms will be prepared and sent to the school managers, so that the vehicles without fitness can be repaired in time. Otherwise, if the vehicle is caught again during checking, action will be taken to seize it,โ informed officer.
