Kanpur, 02 May: In the month of April, people continued to feel the heat like May, as the western disturbances remained weak in March. After April, as soon as the month of May started, moist winds started coming from the Bay of Bengal and due to the northeast winds, the temperature dropped by four degrees Celsius in Kanpur. Due to this, people got a huge relief from the heat for the time being.

Dr SN Sunil Pandey, Meteorological Scientist, Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology said on Monday that a fresh Western Disturbance has been observed over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas and the induced cyclonic circulation is over south-central Pakistan and adjoining parts of Rajasthan. Another Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over South-East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas.

He said, a trough is extending from Northwest Rajasthan to North Chhattisgarh. Another trough is extending from South Chhattisgarh to Interior Karnataka. A cyclonic circulation is very likely to form over South Andaman Sea on May 4. Under its influence, a low pressure area may develop by May 6 which may intensify further.

He told that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius today, which is four degrees Celsius less than the day before. The minimum temperature was 25.8 degrees Celsius, which is 2.1 degrees Celsius above normal. The relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 74 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 30 percent. The wind direction was north-east with an average speed of 9.3 kmph.

According to the weather forecast, the sky is likely to be clear and there is no chance of rain, but there is a possibility of thunderstorm, dust storm in the next 48 hours in the morning or evening and the day temperature will be high and the speed of the wind will remain high. There are chances.
