Lucknow, May 11: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the Covid system in the state by holding a meeting of Team-09 here on Wednesday.
He said that the present status of prevention efforts for corona in the state is satisfactory. Despite this, we have to be cautious. Simultaneously, vaccination of children and booster doses of adults need to be further accelerated.
Chief Minister Yogi said that so far 31 crore 85 lakh doses of Covid vaccine have been administered across Uttar Pradesh. Over 11 crore 23 lakh Covid tests have also been done. The entire population over the age of 18 years has received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 89.86 percent of adults have received both doses.
He said that in the age group of 15 to 17 years, more than 95.85 per cent adolescents have received the first dose and more than 69.80 per cent adolescents have received both the doses. More than 70 percent of children in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been vaccinated. They have also started applying the second dose.
The Chief Minister said that this situation is satisfactory. Immunization of children and booster doses of adults need to be intensified.
The Chief Minister said that due to successful implementation of the policy of Track, Test, Treat and Vaccine, effective control of Covid remains in Uttar Pradesh. At present, there are total 1432 active cases in the state. In this 1374 people are taking health benefits at home. Their health should be continuously monitored.
Yogi added, there were more than 2000 active cases in the state on May 7, since then again the number of new cases is decreasing. Yesterday’s positivity stood at 0.03 percent. The situation is under control but vigilance is necessary.
In the last 24 hours, 179 new cases were confirmed in the entire state. This includes 56 new cases in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 37 in Ghaziabad, and 21 in Lucknow. During the same period, 231 people also became healthy.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it is mandatory to apply face masks in public places in the districts where cases are getting more. Get it implemented. Make people aware. The number of tests needs to be increased.
He said that there is a good career in the field of Nursing and Paramedical. There is a need for development of infrastructure facilities for better training of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANMs), General Nursing and Midwifery (GNMs). In such a situation, an action plan should be prepared for the re-operation of state government training institutes which have been closed for the last three decades. Prepare to operate nine GNM Training Schools and 34 ANM Training Centers initially. Strict compliance of standards should be ensured in every institution. Faculty is good enough. There should be a system of training for them in the medical college, district hospital also.
