Ranchi, 12 May: Jharkhand’s Mining Secretary IAS Pooja Singhal’s health has been deteriorating since her arrest on Wednesday night.
She was caught by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a disproportionate assets case.
However, she was medically examined on Thursday after reaching the ED office from Hotwar jail. She has complained of chest pain. Her blood pressure is fluctuating.
After reaching the ED office, three blood pressure tests were done at an interval of five minutes on Thursday at 11 am.
The Hotwar jail superintendent also confirmed that she was unwell. After this situation, it can be said that if the condition worsens then they may have to be admitted to RIMS. Her husband Abhishek Jha has also been medically examined in the ED office.
However, her interrogation has resumed at the ED office. She looked utterly worried. Even the dress she donned yesterday has repeated the same dress on Thursday.
To conduct a medical examination of Pooja Singhal, a team of doctors at Sadar Hospital Ranchi had reached under the leadership of Dr RK Jaiswal. The inquiry has started only after the investigation.
What happened so far?
On May 6, the ED had conducted multiple raids at about 25 places related to IAS Pooja Singhal and her close aides.
During the raids, Rs 19.31 crore and documents about 300 crore were seized.
On May 7, CA Suman Kumar, close aide of IAS Pooja Singhal was also arrested for questioning in the same case.
On May 8, Pooja Singhal’s husband Abhishek Jha was called by the ED for interrogation.
On May 9, the ED summoned Pooja Singhal.
On May 10, the ED grilled Pooja Singhal.
On May 11, ED arrested Pooja Singhal and sent to Hotwar jail in Ranchi.
On May 12, Pooja Singhal is being questioned again.
It is noteworthy that the remand period of CA Suman Singh ended on Thursday. The ED asked the court to extend the remand period of Suman by a week, on which the court extended the remand for four days. Now he will be on remand till May 16. Now the sword of arrest hangs on Abhishek Jha too.
