Lucknow, May 19: The Lucknow Commissionerate Police has seized property worth 3.62 crores of former Member of Parliament (MP) and SP leader Rizwan Zaheer, who is lodged in jail in cases of murder charges and gangster. Earlier, the Balrampur police had attached assets worth Rs 4 crore.
On the instructions of District Magistrate (DM) Balrampur, this action was initiated on Thursday under the leadership of ACP Mahanagar Jaya Sandilya.
During this, a large number of police forces were present along with Balrampur’s Gasdi Kotwali in-charge Om Prakash Singh Chauhan and in-charge Inspector Vikasnagar Tej Bahadur Singh.
It is noteworthy that assets worth about Rs.03 crore 26 lakh of criminal Rizwan Zaheer and his family have been confiscated in the past.
In this way, a total of about 06 crore 88 lakh property has been attached. Even before this, in Tulsipur, the police have seized property and bungalow worth about four crore rupees.
