Lucknow, 26 May: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh presented a budget of Rs 06 lakh 15 thousand 518.97 crore in the assembly on Thursday for the financial year 2022-23. In the budget, attention has been given in all the areas including the security system of the state, women’s security, jobs to the youth, agriculture.
However, budget was presented by State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna. He said that the target is to provide jobs to four lakh people in the next five years.
This is the sixth budget of the Yogi government and the first budget of his second term.
In the center of the budget is the BJP’s Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, in which the government will prepare a solid ground for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024 by taking steps towards realizing the promises made.
Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna performed puja at his residence before presenting the budget.
Announcement of Rs 100 crore for Prayagraj Kumbh Mela
“Gram Unnati Yojana” has been brought in the name of Kalyan Singh. Under the scheme, solar lights will be installed in the village. The government has announced Rs 100 crore for Kumbh Mela Prayagraj. 1353 crore has been given for Swachh Bharat Mission Urban. 500 crore has been announced for the special scheme of Bundelkhand.
Suryakund development in Ayodhya will be done with Rs 140 crore. Green Energy Corridor will be built in Bundelkhand. Kanpur Metro Rail will get Rs 747 crore and Agra Metro Rail will get Rs 597 crore. A provision of Rs 1306 crore has been made for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor.
In the budget, Rs 2700 crore has been announced for flood control and Rs 19500 crore for Jal Jeevan Mission in Namami Gange.
The Finance Minister has announced Rs 31 thousand crore for revamp in electricity. 695 crore for Meerut-Prayagraj Ganga Expressway and Rs 18,500 crore for PWD roads has been announced in the budget.
Similarly, Rs 2100 crore has been given to 14 medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh in the budget. 897 crore has been received for Pradhan Mantri Gatishakti Yojana. Old age pension has been increased from Rs.500 to Rs.1000.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna told that the Yogi government will give jobs to 4 lakh people of the state in the next five years.
A provision of Rs 800 crore for residential buildings of the police and Rs 800 crore for non-residential buildings has been made in the budget. 300 crore for residential and non-residential police buildings in newly created districts and Rs 65 crore 70 lakh for purchase of land for construction of police lines in newly created districts have been allocated.
In this way, free irrigation facility is being provided to the farmers through 34,307 state tube wells and 252 small branch canals in the state. A provision of Rs 1000 crore is proposed for the Chief Minister’s Small Irrigation Scheme. An arrangement of Rs 100 crore has been made for starting metro rail in Varanasi and Gorakhpur.
Quality seeds are of paramount importance in agricultural production. Therefore, 60.10 lakh quintal seeds have been distributed in the year 2021-2022. In the year 2022-2023, 60.20 lakh quintal seeds are proposed to be distributed. The state government is ensuring the availability of fertilizers in sufficient quantity to the farmers.
