Lucknow, June 12: So far 304 rioters have been arrested from several cities by the Uttar Pradesh Police. At the same time, bulldozers razed the buildings of violence accused in Saharanpur and Kanpur.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar told that in all the districts where riots were erupted after Friday Prayers (Namaz), the police is now identifying those involved in it and making arrests. So far 304 people have been arrested. Of these, 91 people have been arrested from Prayagraj, 71 from Saharanpur, 51 from Hathras, 34-34 from Ambedkarnagar and Moradabad, 15 from Firozabad, 06 from Aligarh, 02 from Jalaun.
ADG further told, a total of 13 FIRs have been registered, in which Prayagaj, Saharanpur have registered one case each on 03-03 and other cities. Taking swift action, the miscreants are being arrested. Under no circumstances will the guilty be spared and the innocent will not be touched.
On the one hand, while swift action is being taken to arrest the accused, on the other hand, bulldozers roared on the buildings of the miscreants. Under this, the KDA in Kanpur on Saturday demolished the illegally built building of Mohammad Ishtiaq, relative of the mastermind of the violence Hayat Zafar Hashmi.
Similarly, in Saharanpur also, bulldozers razed the illegal houses of two miscreants who were absconding in the riot case.
