IAS Ram Vilas Yadav, facing probe in disproportionate assets case, suspended

Dehradun, June 22: The Uttarakhand government has suspended IAS officer and Additional Secretary Ram Vilas Yadav, who is facing vigilance enquiry in the case of disproportionate assets. Ram Vilas Yadav was due to retire on June 30.

By issuing an order on behalf of the Personnel and Vigilance Section of the Government of Uttarakhand, Additional Secretary Ram Vilas Yadav has been suspended with immediate effect.

It states that disciplinary action will be taken against him for not cooperating with the Vigilance Establishment in the investigation of the allegations of disproportionate assets and thus, violating the relevant provisions of the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968.

It has been said in the order that the above allegations are serious. Along with this, allowances will be paid in the same condition when Ram Vilas Yadav produces a certificate to the effect that he is not engaged in any other employment, trade profession or business during the suspension period.
