Lucknow, 9 July: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Lulu Mall in Lucknow on Sunday. The gigantic retail mall, one of the largest in India, was part of the inaugural UP investors’ summit held during Yogi Adityanath’s first term in office.
According to authorities, the Rs 2,000-crore projects would create 5,000 direct and 10,000 indirect employment opportunities.
The Lulu Group is also developing retail malls in Varanasi and Prayagraj, which it exhibited recently at a groundbreaking event in Lucknow attended by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Aside from retail ventures, the Abu Dhabi-based firm has announced the creation of a food manufacturing center in Noida at a cost of Rs 500 crore.
The 2.2 million sq ft mall will be located in Amar Shaheed Path, Golf City, in Lucknow, and will house some of India’s major brands. The mall has 15 fine-dining restaurants and cafes, as well as a big food court with 25 brand shops and a seating capacity of 1,600 clients, to cater to the different tastes of every guest.
The Lucknow Lulu Mall will also include a wedding shopping area. Later this year, an 11-screen PVR Superplex will open here. It would have P [XL] and 4 DX screens, as well as luxury LUXE auditoriums. The mall will include a dedicated multi-level parking structure with space for approximately 3,000 vehicles.
Jayakumar Gangadharan, regional director of Lulu Group in Uttar Pradesh, remarked to the media on Saturday in Lucknow, “We are pleased to open the doors of the first genuinely global retail and leisure destination in Lucknow. This Lucknow mall will also feature our worldwide renowned the biggest indoor entertainment centre, Funtura, as well as the Lulu Hypermarket, city โโand beyond.”
This is the Lulu Group’s fifth mall in India, following the openings of locations in Kochi, Thrissur, Bengaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram.
MA Yusuff Ali, the chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, has already announced an aggressive growth strategy in all major cities in India, including Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Delhi, in order to further expand the company’s footprints in the nation.
