New Delhi, 20 July: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of 21 names as judges for the three high courts.
The collegium has recommended the appointment of five judges for the Karnataka High Court, nine for the Allahabad High Court and seven for the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The recommendation was made in the meetings of the collegium held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The five judicial officers who have been recommended by the collegium to be appointed as judges for the Karnataka High Court are Anil Bhimsena Katti, Garusiddaiah Basavaraja, Chandrashekhar Mrityunjay Joshi, Umesh Manjunathbhat Adiga, and Talakad Girigouda Sivashankare Gowda.
The nine judicial officers who have been recommended by the collegium for the Allahabad High Court include Renu Agarwal, Mohammad Azhar Hussain Idrisi, Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra, Jyotsna Sharma, Mayank Kumar Jain, Shiv Shankar Prasad, Gajendra Kumar, Surendra Singh and Nalin Kumar Srivastava .
The names of seven judicial officers recommended by the collegium to the Andhra Pradesh High Court are Adusumalli Venkata Ravindra Babu, Vakkalagadda Radhakrishna Karup Sagar, Shyamasundara Bandaru, Srinivasa Vutukuru, Bopanna Varahalakshmi Narasimha Chakraborty, Talapragada Mallikarjuna Rao, and Duppala Venkata Rao.
