Lucknow: July 30: Samajwadi Party member of Lok Sabha Azam Khan has apologised for his comment  in the Lok Sabha a couple of days ago but he is not yet out of the woods.
Police on Tuesday raided Johar University  at Rampur of which is the life-time chancellor.
The raid is learnt to have been carried to  search documents related to land purchase.Several farmers had complained that he had  forcibly acquired their land for construction of the university.
First Information Reports have been already lodged in this connection. Azam who has often embarrassed the party due to controversial remarks and comments is facing 27 land grabbing cases.
The UP government has declared him ” land mafia”.He is alleged to have acquired even five hectares of government land.A large number of police men are present at the gate of the university to prevent any untoward incident. Details are awaited.
