Lucknow, 26 November: A Muslim man from Naka police station area kidnapped a Hindu girl and took her to Varanasi. Here he raped her without her consent in a hotel. Police recovered the girl safely and arrested the accused from Aishbagh area on Tuesday. The girl is a minor, police said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Police (Central) told journalists in this regard on Tuesday that the name of the arrested accused is Aamir, a resident of Para. A youth had filed a case against him that he had kidnapped his minor sister by luring her with the promise of marriage. Police registered a case and deployed teams to search for him. Police arrested accused Aamir from Aishbagh area on Tuesday.
During interrogation, he told that he took the girl with her to Varanasi. Here he raped her forcefully in a hotel. After this, he took her to Surat. On November 24, he was bringing the minor girl back to Lucknow, when he left the girl and he alighted before Charbagh station.
At the same time, on the basis of the victim’s statement and medical report, the sections were imposed and the search for the accused was intensified. It was then learnt that the accused Aamir was present near Aishbagh railway station. The team has arrested the accused with the help of its sources. The police have started further action by registering a case against the accused under serious sections.
