Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan has made his Bollywood debut with the recently released film ‘Maharaja’. Actress Shalini Panday is also playing an important role in the film along with Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh. In this film, she has given an intimate scene with Jaideep Ahlawat. Shalini has told about the experience of shooting this scene.
In the film, Shalini is playing a character named Kishori, while Jaideep Ahlawat is playing the character of a Maharaja named JJ. In the film, Kishori is forced to have physical relations with JJ in the name of charan seva.
While sharing the experience, Shalini Pandey told that she was very scared while doing this scene. After reading the story of the film, Shalini felt that the girl playing this character was stupid.
In this film, Jaideep is playing the role of a Maharaja of the 1800s. In the mansion dominated by JJ, young women were physically exploited in the name of charan seva. Maharaj had convinced them that being raped by us is a kind of sacred thing. On the other hand, society would turn a blind eye to such an incident happening with young women, because they also thought that it is right.
“When I actually shot that charan seva scene with Maharaj… I didn’t realise till then what effect that scene had on me before doing it, because I did that scene and suddenly I walked out and I told my team that I don’t want to do it. I need time, I need some fresh air, I was a little scared,” Shalini said in an interview.
Shalini told that she told director Siddharth P Malhotra about this. Her co-star Jaideep Ahlawat also understood her in this scene. He said that the character in this film and Shalini’s thinking in real life are quite different. When Shalini first read the script, she felt that the character of Kishori was very silly.
“Kishori is very innocent and cute. When I first read the script about playing her, I thought she was so stupid. But later I realised that she is not stupid because she does not know right from wrong. It was a situation where she believed in whatever she was doing’-said Shalini.
Shalini Pandey is a popular Bollywood and South actress. She has worked in ‘Arjun Reddy’ with Vijay Deverakonda and ‘Jayeshbhai Jorda’ with Ranveer Singh.
