Sriganganagar/Hanumangarh, 13 April: The agencies have been activated after receiving inputs about the presence of Waris Punjab De chief and Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.
After this input, the police of both districts also swung into action and launched a search operation on Thursday. Thoroughly checked the vehicles coming and going from Punjab and Haryana.
According to sources, the police found a photograph of a youth with Amritpal, who is a youth from Dhani near Santpura. On receiving input from the Central Investigation Agency, the Punjab Police contacted the Rajasthan Police and raided it.
It is being told that the photo of Hardeep Singh, the son of a person named Chhinda Singh, went viral with Amritpal Singh. In the investigation, it was found that Hardeep lives in Dhani near Santpura. After this, the police has taken this action.
Hanumangarh SP Sudhir Chaudhary, ASP Jassaram Bose and other police officers are camping at Sangaria police station. High officials of the Punjab Police are in constant contact with him. Punjab Police is present near Sangriya police station. It is also being told that some youths have been rounded up by the police, and they are being interrogated. Since the matter is sensitive, the police are currently refraining from saying anything on it. A blockade has been imposed on Haryana and Punjab border and every visitor is being questioned.
