Shravasti, 12 April: An illegal arms factory was discovered in the Ikauna region of this city on Wednesday, and three persons were detained in connection with the investigation. They said that a factory was operating in the Madheynagar neighbourhood.
Ram Dayal, Dinesh Yadav, and Rinku Vishwakarma were among those detained. According to Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh, the facility was raided on Tuesday night and 16 countrymade handguns, equipment and ammunition were confiscated.
Dinesh Yadav was the operation’s mastermind, and she stated 30 major charges, including those under the Gangsters Act and the Goondas Act, are pending against him in Bahraich and Shravasti. According to the SP, the guns are suspected of being utilised in the municipal elections. According to the officer, a thorough investigation is ongoing.
