AI based digital attendance to be implemented at ‘Maha Kumbh Mela -2025’ in Prayagraj

Lucknow, July 12: The Yogi government will take the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ensure daily attendance and do real time assessment of the officers and employees deployed for the convenience of devotees and pilgrims travelling to witness major Hindu event ‘Mahakumbh Mela’ in Prayagraj.

According to the state government, a digital attendance system will be developed for the employees and officers providing services in the Mahakumbh Mela, which will work through a facial recognition based mobile app. This app will be developed to work on Android and iOS formats.

This scheme will be operated for a project period of 8 months , for the development of which Uttar Pradesh System Corporation Limited (UPDESCO) has started preparations according to the needs of Prayagraj Mela Authority. 

Development process will be done in 4 phases , short term notice issued A spokesperson of the state government said that UPDESCO has started the process of development of AI based mobile app for regular attendance of employees and officers of various government departments providing services in Mahakumbh Mela-2025. A short term notice has been issued by UPDESCO to complete this process. Selected work will be allocated to the already empanelled companies in UPDESCO, after which it will have to complete the development, testing, operation and maintenance process of the system and app. 

This process will be completed in 4 phases. In the first phase, the kick off presentation and team mobilization process will be completed. This process has to be completed within 7 days after the assignment. In the second phase, the design, development, implementation, configuration and testing process of the application will also be completed. A target of 15 days has been set to complete this work.

In the process, inception report, project plan, software requirement specification (SRS), capacity building plan, case testing, configuration report, deployment, testing and commissioning process will be completed. The app will be rolled out after completion of go live report and UAT process.

After the development of the mobile app, after completing the deployment, testing and commissioning process, the app will be rolled out after completion of go live report and user acceptance testing (UAT) process. After the allocation of work , the designated agency has been given a deadline to complete this process within 25 days . After this, the regular operation and maintenance process will be completed as the fourth process.

This process will be completed monthly or as per the requirement. Also, progress report will also be prepared fortnightly. The action process will also be completed on the basis of issue logging and resolution report. Customized MIS report, attendance monitoring report and notification and alert report process will also be completed. A nodal officer from each department will ensure attendance Prayagraj Mela Authority is getting the system development process completed from UPDESCO for real time assessment of staff/supervisors of various Mela/Government departments . This process is being completed to enroll and register their attendance through a mobile app installed on the mobile phone .

The attendance system with artificial intelligence for ‘Mahakumbh Mela’ will help in automatic identification and verification of a person from the live environment through comparison of selected facial features of the image taken from the already existing database. A nodal officer will be appointed by each department who will monitor the officers and employees of their respective department.
