Lucknow, August 30: AirAsia is going to start direct flights between Mumbai and Kolkata from Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport from September 1. Before this, Air Asia’s flight from Lucknow to Bangalore, Goa and Delhi started.
As per AirAsia’s schedule, the flight from Lucknow airport to Kolkata will depart at 10:50 am and the flight to Mumbai will depart at 04:05 pm. AirAsia’s starting fare from Lucknow to Mumbai has been kept at Rs 6,098, while the fare for Kolkata is almost the same.
The minimum fare for AirAsia while travelling from Mumbai to Lucknow has been kept at Rs 5,523 and for AirAsia travelling from Kolkata to Lucknow at Rs 6,581. Air Asia flight arriving from Kolkata will arrive at Lucknow at 08:40 am and the flight from Mumbai at 01:20 pm.
At present, AirAsia will also connect Bhubaneswar, Pune and Guwahati under a one-stop journey by starting direct flight services from Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport to Mumbai and Kolkata.
According to the Lucknow Airport Administration, the number of domestic air passengers is increasing by 20 percent annually. On average, 55 to 60 lakh passengers travel through Lucknow airport annually. In such a situation, the work of construction of Terminal-3 of Lucknow Airport is going on fast. With the increase in the number of international flights after the construction of this terminal, the runway will also be expanded.
Air Asia Airlines started flights from Lucknow to Bangalore, Goa and Delhi on August 5. Now the start of direct flights to Mumbai and Kolkata will further strengthen the air network. Along with this, more options of air travel will also be available in front of the passengers.
